We returned today after a wonderful sunny week on Portland! Lots to do for our active family of five plus puppy! 5 minute walk to the beach, great local cafe and pub with fabulous food, not too busy unlike nearby Weymouth, and the non-stop sunshine was the icing on the cake! And Helen was the perfect hostess! Her beautiful house matches the description and pictures and she couldn’t have been more responsive and helpful with questions we had before arriving and during our stay. Can highly recommend!!!

Fantastic cottage in a great location to explore the local area. It is a 2 minute walk to the beach which we did plenty of times as well as only a 15 minute walk from Portland Castle, the leisure centre, harbour and DD museum. Our family really enjoyed the cottage and the children were able to play games and sports in the enclosed front garden. The only slight issue was parking as on our first day when we wanted to unpack it was a bank holiday Monday and it took about 30 minutes to find parking which was about a 5 minute walk from the cottage. However it was a bit better after this but still very busy. Helen was very responsive and we cannot wait to stay again.

Quirky house over 3 floors with spacious bedrooms 100 metres from beach. Had a lovely time!
Helen was super responsive and very friendly. Finding car park nearby was a bit difficult but not an issue. We were 8 ppl staying (2 families) so we didn’t mind eating standing around the island which had 4 benches available. We were a bit confused with the recycling but we hope that we have done it correctly!
Walks, beaches and cozy house made this stay wonderful! Many many thanks!

This tidy apartment is in a great location for Portland’s many attractions – it’s right next to a bus stop and various cafes and pubs. It’s also very close to the National Sailing Academy.

Had a lovely stay in this immaculate apartment. The kitchen was well equipped with everything that we needed. It was ideally situated – very close to the water sports centre we were there to use and very close to the start of the island which made it easy to explore further afield into neighbouring areas. There are some spectacular views to be had from Portland itself though – a trip to the Olympic rings near the heights is highly recommended!
The only downside was the noise from the road (we were prepared for this as we had read previous reviews).
Helen is a very friendly host and does her best to help with any problems.
